I’m often asked, ‘What podcasts do you listen to?’.

Well, here is my new answer: the one that I featured on!

What did you actually learn? is the podcast that gets out and about to find out how people learn new stuff and help others to do the same. 

In this episode, recorded in my back garden (!), I share how marketing works if you understand what to do, when and why –  and if you do it in small steps. 

But what is also interesting is what I learnt from working with Jill, at Switched-on Multimedia, when making this podcast.

I learnt:

  • Working with a Pro when it comes to podcasts makes it so easy
  • It’s the little things that count – the way Jill added in the ‘little’ sounds that give the podcast depth and interest
  • Short is sweet – this was short to record, short (only 21 mins!) to listen to and packed full of value.

The biggest learning for me though was: making and broadcasting a podcast series is more accessible than I thought.

I’ve been toying for a while with adding Podcasts to our marketing comms but felt it was ‘too complicated’ and ‘too big’ to do. Jill showed me that when you are working with someone who knows what they’re doing, it’s very possible.
