As you look forward to 2024, you might be making plans that are about doing things faster, harder, or more. Can I ask you to pause and check: “Am I running in the right direction?”

I work with too many businesses who are working hard but on the wrong things. It’s no good running faster, if you’re running in the wrong direction.

And I’ve been there myself. I established a successful consultancy business – eventually – but for a while I kept running in the wrong direction, doing marketing and sales activities (to a high standard) but which were wrong for where I wanted to get to.

So, before you start implementing your 2024 Plans, ask yourself:

  • What will I regard as ‘success’ on the 31 Dec 2024?
  • Who do I need as clients to achieve that success?
  • What marketing do I need to do to get those clients?

Before you start running, check you’re running in the right direction.
